WINEFUTURE 2021 PROMISES TO BE THE MOST IMPORTANT SUMMIT OF THE WINE INDUSTRY

OIV AND WINES OF PORTUGAL CONFIRM THEIR SUPPORT TO THE SUMMIT

December 11TH, 2021. The Wine Future 2021 conference is proud to announce that the OIV (International Organization for Vine and Wine) has confirmed its full support to this international conference as an official sponsor. OIV’s Director General, Pau Roca, will address it as a keynote speaker along with film legend Francis Ford Coppola and UNESCO’s 9th Director-General Irina Bokova.

Wines of Portugal is also confirmed as the main sponsor of this international wine business conference to be held virtually via Zoom February 23-25, 2021. Wines of Portugal’s President Frederico Falcão stated, “it is an honour be part of this conference and to support the opportunity to globally discuss the wine business challenges of today and for the future”.

In addition to these two important organizations many others have extended their support to this conference linking experts working in varying sectors of international wine business to discuss ideas and share solutions to the challenges facing the global wine industry stemming from the Covid- 19 pandemic, its resultant economic recession, the ongoing climate crisis and systemic inequities. The many panel sessions and individual addresses will detail informed approaches for the future of wine.

The 3rd edition of this unique event, previously held in Rioja Spain and Hong Kong China, will support three NGOs with links to the world of wine: Porto Protocol, SOS Cape Town, North Bay Jobs With Justice.


As Wine Future 2021 will be held virtually, taking into account the serious economic situation in which Earth finds itself, the organizers have established a moderate price of €65 to participate for the full complement of the conference’s presentations. “Thanks to the virtual format we expect to reach a large number of wine professionals from around the world who wouldn’t have been able to afford the cost of plane flights, hotel, auxiliary expenses, and registration fees to attend a professional congress of this type,” declared Pancho Campo, founder and co-organizer of Wine Future 2021.
