U.s. Wines Keep Growing Sales Rise 6 Percent

Domestic wine sales grew percent in November 2016 versus November 2015, according to market research firm bw166. Sales through all channels approached $3.5 billion, continuing the growth seen for much of this year. Total wine sales rose 4% in the 12 months ending November 2016, reaching $40 billion. Sparkling wine growth continued at 10%, double the 5% pace of table wines. Sparkling wines represented just 5% of U.S. wine sales in the period, however.

Domestic wine sales through all channels increased 6% in November 2016 versus November 2015.



Domestic wine sales approached $40 billion in the 12 months ended November 2016, up 5% from a year earlier.
