A belated Happy New Year from the Wine Australia China team! We are happy to witness the fourth tariff cut implemented as part of the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement. This is a new and exciting stage for exporting Australian wine into China. We look forward to working with you to promote Australian wine in the Chinese market.
Great news for Australian wineries: the $50m Export and Regional Wine Support Package Wine Export Grants has $1 million of funding for small and medium wine businesses to claim reimbursement for specific export promotion expenses. The application opens from 2 January.
With the Chinese New Year around the corner, we are also preparing several marketing campaigns, including the Australian pavilion showcase at the Chengdu Fair and this will be followed by Vinexpo Hong Kong in May and Wine Australia China Roadshow in June. We are sure that 2018 will be a very exciting year ahead!
Cheers,
Willa Yang
