Jaden Smith has opened a pop-up food truck in Los Angeles to serve free healthy meals to the homeless, another example of the philanthropic good works that the rapper has implemented in recent months.
The I Love You Restaurant, which launched Tuesday, will drive around downtown to LA to serve health-conscious, complimentary meals to homeless people.
“The @ILoveYouRestaurant Is A Movement That Is All About Giving People What They Deserve, Healthy, Vegan Food For Free,” Smith wrote in an Instagram post announcing the launch. “Today We Launched Our First One Day Food Truck Pop-Up in Downtown LA. Keep A Look Out Because This Is The First Of Many.”
The food truck comes months after Smith’s foundation, JUST goods, and a local church joined forces to bring cleaner water to Flint, Michigan by deploying a mobile water filtration that they designed and engineered together.
Flint that has struggled to recover from a state-led water crisis due to the contamination of its primary water source, a crisis that burst into national headlines in April 2014.
July has been a big month for Smith so far, who turned 21 this week with a private gathering of family and friends. He also dropped his new album “ERYS” last week, featuring collaborations with Tyler, the Creator; ASAP Rocky; Kid Cudi; Trinidad James; and his sister, Willow.
We can’t wait to see what he does next!
