Want up to 30 percent back on your next meal? Get acquainted with this restaurant app.
If you happen to live in a city with more than a few spectacular restaurants to choose from—lucky you. And if you've ever hit the web or downloaded a mobile application to reserve your seat at one of those coveted tables for two, or ten, or one (hey, we're not judging), then it's a very good time for you to get acquainted with Seated.
Seated is a restaurant app that takes everything great about the feeling of locking down a reservation at your favorite spot and adds a little something extra on top: money back—up to 30 percent!—just for eating out. I'll repeat: The Seated app wants to pay you, a food loving person, actual money for simply going out to eat.
Yes, it's really that simple. All you have to do to get started is download the app. From there, find an available reservation in your city. Eat (duh), and after you finish your meal, upload a photo of the receipt into the app to verify how much you spent. Within 24 hours, you'll receive a reward code (for up to 30 percent of your meal cost) through the app that you can use toward things like Lyft credits, money in your Amazon account, or funding your caffeine addiction at Starbucks.
Seated makes discovering new restaurants a breeze.
How does it work? With all the costs that go into running a restaurant—like powering the venue and buying the raw ingredients—restaurateurs are really counting on getting those seats filled. Reservations who no-show hurt the business, but so do empty tables. Seated's proposition is getting you in there—knowing you'll want to eat and get the financial reward to boot—and they kick back some of the benefit they make from the restaurant to your wallet, too.
It's a great service for discovery as well: Seated only works with top quality (4-star or higher rated) restaurants, so you can be sure that wherever you eat is going to be worth the price of admission. And if you're in a new city, unsure of where to go, or say, booking a big group, Seated's concierge team is available through the app to help you make your next meal an unforgettable one.
Best of all, if you wanna feel really good about going out to eat: For every reservation booked through the app, Seated donates a meal to a child in need through the United Nations World Food Programme's #ShareTheMeal.
The app only partners with top quality restaurants, like New York City’s Bodega Negra.
Seated is currently available in New York, Chicago, Boston, San Francisco, Philadelphia, and Atlanta; their website promises to "be back soon" in Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Houston, Miami, Austin, Denver, Providence, and Seattle.
